What remains once the story has been told, original oil painting

550.00

What remains once the story has been told, oil on panel, 20 in. x 20 in.

Continuing the idea of telling one's story, this painting considers the notion of what remains once the story has been told. Once a part of our story is written, what is next? Imagery includes flower petals, seeds, a tulip, branch, patterns, and a tower of squares. I like painting recognizable objects, or allusions to specific things in my work along with areas of color, or blobs, that represent a kind of unknown element. Together these ideas relay the experience, and relay the story.

This is one of my original oil paintings. It is signed on the front, and signed, titled, and dated on the back. It is painted on a countersunk birch ply board with built-in frame, made by my husband. No extra framing is necessary. It is wired and ready to hang.
