A set of two letterpress cards with envelopes.

Print size measures 4 in. x 6 in. and is printed on 110lb. cotton letterpress paper. There is space for you to write a message on the back of the print if you choose to use it as a greeting card. The kraft envelope is FSC certified and contains 30% post-consumer fiber.

For each print I hand-cut two blocks and incorporated antique type. Each print was run through the press four times using four different hand-mixed inks in soft greens, pink, ochre, black, and blue. The prints are inked and cranked by hand on my 1930's era Vandercook press. In addition, they are initialed and numbered on the back.

Limited edition of 25 in each design.

'Winter' and 'spring' are metaphors for renewing hope within a time of austerity, for recognizing beauty, even brief glimmering moments, reviving a sense of vibrancy.
