Scrap felt garden

I began a little studio tidy up this afternoon and in the midst of it came across a bag of felt scraps leftovers from a kids' project. What do I do with these? Throw them away? Instead, I got my fabric scissors and started cutting, rather than cleaning, or pulling weeds in our actual garden, or doing any of the other things that need doing. I will not feel guilty for taking creative play time.

Taking pictures on a Sunday afternoon

I have had the pleasure of taking pictures of this family for over four years now, beginning just days after the youngest girl was born. These girls are so sweet and playful, when I look at these photos I can't help but smile. I'm lucky too because this little one is also in the morning preschool class I teach, so I get to see her twice a week. Photographing people with whom I have developed a relationship is so special to me, and taking pictures of children is my favorite. Through picture taking I feel like I get to know them even a little more.
