This week my daughter has been needing more time than she typically does to fall asleep for her afternoon nap, (teething perhaps) so I’ve been quietly working in my sketchbook as she wiggles, babbles, and cries herself towards sleep. She needs an occasional back rub to relax and reassure her. Then I go back and paint a little more. Hello! Lately my primary role is mama so that’s the main reason it’s quiet here at my art account. I work in my sketchbook as I can, or schedule allows, or as I make it a priority. Pages are done while my daughter is napping and in short time segments. So it may take a few days to do one entry. Let me introduce you to this sweet baby. Our daughter, Mira, was born in mid-June and she is wonderful. 💖 We then spent two weeks in NICU and she’s still on home oxygen but she’s doing quite well. Folded cards that I designed with my painting imagery just arrived and I’m really pleased with them! I needed cards to use for thank you’s and had fun the other afternoon arranging scanned images of my art into this layout. @mpixfans is so quick, I ordered these Wednesday and they got here today. Seriously fast. Plus this matte signature paper is nice and thick, and looks right for the watercolor and gouache painting.
